After finalizing and applying the feedback to our final product, we managed to work out the way we wanted it to. Here's a reaction video of two of my closest friends, reacting to our music video "Youth".

"I like the projection parts... and the illustrations in it."

"I like your acting scenes, none of them look like they were messing about. You guys took it seriously."

What I have learnt from my feedback were the following:

  • The projectors are presented really well in each shots.

  • The acting is serious and really good (artist's acting was precise and lip syncing was on time, none of the acting looked like they were messing around took it seriously.)

  • They like the difference between the solo shots of the artist and then the different colours which the acting (colour grading) nice contrast between them, transition between two scenes was gradual, no error sudden cuts.

  • They would watch the clip again, because the narrative makes you want to understand it more in depth.

HOWEVER!

They spotted an error within the drumming scenes, it was critical because of the quality... the lighting made the quality look unprofessional - would be nice if the sequence were the same quality! Could have re shoot it

Unfortunately, due to the deadline, we weren't able to change the settings around but beforehand, we made sure that you could still clearly see the drumming as well as the drummer.

HOW TO IMPROVE?

  • More projector scenes since they looked artsy.

  • Forest scenes were filmed professionally, an example is when the camera was underneath the grass which gives a good indicator that you feel like you are part of the music video, the shots of the sunset were good, different angles that were used in the music video were exceptional!
